2012 Kickoff!

Alright! Here we are in 2012.  How is this year going to be different for you?  I hope each new year that comes your way is better than the previous!  That’s the way I like it for myself.  And that’s why I make the choices that will make that happen…

It’s funny how so many folks somehow think that they will end up with different results the next time around trying the same old thing.  It doesn’t work that way.  I know both from personal experience and from observation of others.   Ever since realizing that where I am at present is the sum of my previous decisions I understood that I could change tomorrow for the better.

Of course things happen that are not anticipated.  Bad things.  Awful things.  But we make decisions in the midst of those things as well.  If we make good decisions in the midst of terrible circumstances we will fare better than if we had made bad decisions in the face of trouble and distress.  I’ll bet you can think of any number of examples of people who responded to a bad situation by deciding to make it worse.

No, of course they didn’t directly make the decision to make it worse.  But they could have made better decisions in regards to what was holding them down or holding them back… decisions that might had let to an eventual breakout or breakthrough.  Instead, they responded in a way that entangled them deeper in their mess, whether of their own making initially or made by someone else.

Starting today, let’s make the decisions that will lead us to where we want to end up… no matter how held down or held back we feel right now.  Make the decisions that will lead you to your breakouts and breakthroughs sooner or later.  You often won’t see where that  is going to happen right away.  Just do the best you can while keeping your eyes and thinking open for the solution that will come if you are seeking it.  It always shows up.  I know.

I’m hoping you have an entire year of amazing  breakouts and breakthroughs in 2012!  Let me know how things are going… jim@jimzboran.com or leave a comment below.

All the best to you,

Jim Z
